In celebration of the return of IHOP’s all you can eat pancakes they are holding their first annual “Pancake Bowl.” Various IHOP locations around the country are participating, but it does not appear all U.S. IHOPs are. As of right now, artIicles have shown that IHOPs in Los Angeles, Sacramento, Des Moines, Knoxville, Chattanooga, Grand Rapids, Fresno, Portland, Lafayette, IN and Rockford, IL indicate that IHOPs in those areas are participating. If you are not in those areas it would be best to contact your local IHOP to find out if they also are participating.
The first person in each participating restaurant that signs and eats at least 10 pancakes gets their meal free. After that you have to beat the previous high score to get your meal free. The winner of the high score in the restaurant gets free pancakes for a year. The top 10 high scores in a participating metropolitan region qualifies for the regions Pancake bowl held on February 1st with the winner of that contest receiving a $500 IHOP gift card.

No reservations are required for the challenge. Just walk in and register. However, you should check to see if your local IHOP is participating. The contest is being held January 3-26th, with the championships on February 1st.
