Man v Food Season 2

Man v Food Episode 1 – First aired 8/5/2009 with the featured community being  San Antonio, Texas.  Featured restaurants were the Lulu’s Bakery and Cafe and Big Lou’s Pizzeria.  The Man Versus Food Challenge was at Chunky’s Burgers where Adam takes on the four horseman challenge, which involves eating a burger that has a mix of jalapeno, habanero, Serrano and ghost chilies, plus a habanero sauce, within twenty-five minutes and survive five minutes afterwards with no form of relieve from the heat.

 

Man v Food Episode 2 – First aired 8/12/2009 with the featured community being Las Vegas, Nevada.  Featured restaurants were Hash House a Go Go,  and Hot and Juicy Crawfish.  The Man Versus Food Challenge was at Nascar Cafe where Adam attempts to eat a six pound two foot long burrito in ninety minutes or less.

Man v Food Episode 3– First aired 8/19/2009 with the featured community being Charleston, South Carolina.  Featured restaurants were Hominy Grill,  and Bowen’s Island Restaurant.  The Man Versus Food Challenge was at Bushido Japanese Restaurant where Adam attempts to eat ten tuna hand rolls with increasing heat from one to ten.

Man v Food Episode 4 – First aired 8/26/2009 with the featured community being San Francisco, California.  Featured restaurants were Taqueria El Cumbre,  and Ike’s Place.  The Man Versus Food Challenge was at The San Francisco Creamer where Adam takes on the Kitchen Sink Challenge which is a sundae with 8 scoops of ice cream, 8 toppings and 8 servings of whipped cream within a one hour time limit for its consumption.

Man v Food Episode 5 – First aired 9/5/2009 with the featured community being Durham, North Carolina.  Featured restaurants were Backyard Bar-b-que,  and Wimpy’s Grill.  The Man Versus Food Challenge finds Adam involved in the Durham Doughman Race which is Team Relay Quadrathlon – combining competitive eating with a traditional triathlon. The relay includesBlu SeafoodNosh Eclectic FoodstuffsDaisy CakesDain’s Place and Four Square.

Man v Food Episode 6 – First aired 9/9/2009 with the featured community being Honolulu, Hawaii.  Featured restaurants were Hukilau Cafe,  and Helena’s Hawaiian Foods.  The Man Versus Food Challenge was at Mac 24-7 where Adam takes on the Mac-Daddy Challenge, where he has to eat three pancakes weighing 4 pounds with 1 pound of toppings within 90 minutes.

Man v Food Episode 7 – First aired 9/16/2009 with the featured community being Sarasota, Florida.  Featured restaurants were Old Salty Dog,  and Yoders.  The Man Versus Food Challenge was at Munchies 420 where Adam has to eat the Fire in the Hole Wings in 20 minutes without drinking milk, just water.

Man v Food Episode 8 – First aired 9/23/2009 with the featured community being Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  Featured restaurants were Reading Terminal Market,  and The Franklin Fountain.  The Man Versus Food Challenge was at Tony Luke’s where Adam must eat a Philly cheese steak with 3 pounds of beef, 1 pound of cheese and a half pound of fried onions.

Man v Food Episode 9 – First aired 9/30/2009 was a baseball special where Adam travels to 3 baseball stadiums for some of the best ballpark food.  Featured ballparks were GCS Ballpark in Sauget, Illinois for the dounut burger, and Joseph P. Rile Stadium in Charleston South Carolina for the Home Wrecker dog.  The Man Versus Food Challenge was at Fifth Third Ballpark in Grand Rapid Michigan Tony Luke’swhere Adam must eat the Fifth Third Burger which is five pounds of meat that includes chili, two kinds of cheese, salsa, lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream and tortilla chips.

Man v Food Episode 10 – First aired 10/7/2009 with the featured community being Springfield, Illinois.  Featured restaurants were The Cozy Dog Drive In,  and D’Arcy’s Pint.  The Man Versus Food Challenge was at  Joe Rogers’ Chili Parlor where Adam attempts to eat six bowls of their Fire Brand Chili.

Man v Food Episode 11 – First aired 10/14/2009 with the featured community being Boise, Idaho.  Featured restaurants were Big Jud’s,  and Flying Pie Pizza.  The Man Versus Food Challenge was at  Rockies Diner where Adam takes on the Johnny B. Goode Challenge which is a 1 pound burger, with pastrami, two hot dogs, Swiss and Cheddar cheese, onions, beef and been chili, along with a one and half pound order of chili cheese fries, and a sixteen ounce shake in 30 minutes.

Man v Food Episode 12 – First aired 10/21/2009 with the featured community being Washington, DC.  Featured restaurants were Ben’s Chili Bowl,  and Horace and Dickies.  The Man Versus Food Challenge was at  Chick and Ruth’s Delly where Adam takes on the Colossal Challenge which consists of a one and a half pound sandwich and a one pound milk shake in less then an hour.

Man v Food Episode 13 – First aired 10/28/2009 with the featured community being Baltimore, MD.  Featured restaurants were Chaps Pit Beef,  and Obrycki’s Crab House.  The Man Versus Food Challenge was at Steak and Main for the Great Steak Challenge where Adam must eat an 8 ounce Fellet Mignon, a 12 ounce NY Strip, two 13 ounce Black Angus Delmonico’s, a 16 ounce flat iron steak, and finally a 12 ounce prime rib along with one pound of side dishes.

Man v Food Episode 14 – First aired 11/4/2009 with the featured community being Detroit, MI.  Featured restaurants were Lafayette Coney Island, American Coney Island and Slows Bar-B-Q.  The Man Versus Food Challenge was at Mallies Sports Grill and Bar for the burger challenge where Adam and forty locals try to eat a burger with 210 pounds of ground beef, ten pounds of cheese, fifteen must of vegetables, four pounds of bacon, three heads of lettuce and a twenty pound bun.

Man v Food Episode 15 – First aired 11/11/2009 with the featured community being Brooklyn, NY.  Featured restaurants were Brennan and Carr Restaurant, and Spumoni Gardens.  The Man Versus Food Challenge was at Buffalo Cantina where Adam attempts The Suicide Wing Challenge where he has to eat six wings in six minutes.

Man v Food Episode 16 – First aired 11/18/2009 with the featured community being Anchorage, Alaska.  Featured restaurants were Roadhouse in Talkeetna, and West Rib Pub.  The Man Versus Food Challenge was at Humpy’s Alaskan Ale House where Adam attempts The Kodiak Arrest Challenge where he has to eat 7 two once salmon cakes, six once’s of mashed potatoes, six once’s of vegetables, three pounds of crab, a foot long twelve ounce reindeer sausage and a mixed berry crisp and he must finish the meal in 90 minutes or less.

Man v Food Episode 17 – First aired 11/25/2009 with the featured community being Little Rock, Arkansas.  Featured restaurant was Cotham’s Mercantile.  The Man Versus Food Challenge was at Mean Pig BBQ where Adam has to eat a spicy pulled pork sandwich covered in “Shut Up Juice.”

Man v Food Episode 18 – First aired 12/2/2009 with the featured community being Tuscon, Arizona.  Featured restaurants were El Guero Canelo, and Mi Nidito.  The Man Versus Food Challenge was at Lindy’s where Adam takes on the burger challenge where he has to eat a twelve patty hamburger topped with twelve slices of cheese, lettuce and tomatoes in under twenty minutes.

Man v Food Episode 19 – First aired 12/9/2009 with the featured community being New Brunswick, New Jersey.  Featured restaurants were Harold’s New York Deli, and Stuff Yer Face.  The Man Versus Food Challenge was at R.U. Hungry grease truck for the Fat Sandwich Challenge where Adam has to eat five stuffed sandwiches topped with fries and full of toppings chosen from twenty-five items in forty-five minutes or less.

Man v Food Episode 20 – First aired 12/16/2009 with the featured community being  Hartford, Connecticut.  Featured restaurants were Woody’s, Doogies and Ted’s Restaurant.  The Man Versus Food Challenge was at Randy’s Wooster Street Pizza where Adam teams up with the Great Moomsi to take on a 10 pound stuffed pizza that had to be finished in an hour.

Man v Food Episode 21 – First aired 2/3/2010 Man Versus Food Live from Miami, Florida. The show featured a 48 ounce steak challenge live, with taped features on 6 restaurants from Miami and two features on restaurants that had been previously profiled on the show. The Miami restaurants were several restaurants including some previously shown. The Florida restaurants included were Burger & Beer Joint, Joe’s Stone Crab, La Moon, Sports Grill and Shula’s Steak House which is where the challenge was from. The previously featured restaurants were Tony Luke’s from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Harold’s New York Deli from Edison, New Jersey.
