Man v Food

I think it is only fair that since my whole interest in this area comes from my watching Man vs Food, that I should provide information on this show on my Blog. The show first aired on 12/3/2008 with the challenge taking place in Amarillo Texas. The first season of Man v Food had 18 episodes. The show is currently on its 3rd season. Below I will be adding episodes periodically starting with the first and eventually running to current date.

SEASON 1 – MAN v FOOD Man v Food Episode 1 – First aired 12/3/2008 with the featured community being  Amarillo, Texas. Featured restaurants were the Coyote Bluff Cafe and the Stockyard cafe. The Man Versus Food Challenge was at The Big Texan Steak Ranch where Adam had to eat a 4.5 pound steak, salad, shrimp cocktail, baked potato, and a dinner roll in one hour.

 

Man v Food Episode 2 – First aired 12/3/2008 with the featured community being  Memphis , Tennessee.  Featured restaurants were Gus’s Fried Chicken and Rendezvous Bar-b-Que.  The Man Vs Food Challenge was at The Big Foot Lodge where Adam had to eat the Sasquatch hamburger and It’s seven pound beef paddy, two pounds of bun, 8 pieces of cheese, one tomato, one onion, and one head of lettuce.

Man v Food Episode 3 – First aired 12/10/2008 with the featured community being  Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  Featured restaurants were Primanti Brothers and Deluca’s Restaurant. The Man Versus Food Challenge was at Quaker Steak and Lube where Adam had to eat 6 Atomic Wings.

Man v Food Episode 4 – First aired 12/10/2008 with the featured community being  Columbus, Ohio.  Featured restaurants were The Thurman Cafe and German Village and Schmidt’s Sausage Haus.  The Man Vs. Food Challenge was at the Ohio Deli where Adam had to eat the 2.5 pound Dagwood sandwich in 30 minutes.

Man v Food Episode 5 – First aired 12/17/2008 with the featured community being  Austin, Texas.  Featured restaurants were Round Rock Donuts and The Salt Lick BBQ Restaurant.  The Man Versus Food Challenge was at Juan in a Million where he attempted to eat eight three and half pound breakfast tacos with no time limit.

Man v Food Episode 6 – First aired 12/24/2008 with the featured community being Chicago, Illinois.  Featured restaurants were Al’s Beef and Gino’s East.  The Man Vs. Food Challenge was at Lucky’s where he attempted to eat three one and a half pound sandwiches.

Man v Food Episode 7 – First aired 1/7/2009 with the featured community being Atlanta, Georgia.  Featured restaurants were Gladys Knight and Ron Winan’s Chicken and Waffles and Vortex Bar and Grill.  The Man Versus Food Challenge was at Big Pie in the Sky Pizza where he partnered with a local to try and eat an 11 pound, 30 inch pizza covered in pepperoni, ground beef, Italian sausage, ham and bacon.

Man v Food Episode 8 – First aired 1/14/2009 with the featured community being Boston, Massachusetts.  Featured restaurants were East Coast Grill and The Barking Crab.  The Man Versus Food Challenge was at Eagle’s Deli where he takes on the  twelve pound Eagle Burger Challenge, with 5 pounds of beef, 2 pounds of bacon and cheese, and 5 pounds of french fries.

Man v Food Episode 9 – First aired 1/21/2009 with the featured community being New York, New York.  Featured restaurants were Katz’s Delicatessen and Sylvia’s Restaurant.  The Man Versus Food Challenge was at Brick Lane Curry House where he takes on the Phaal Curry which is “the hottest curry known to man.”

Man v Food Episode 10 – First aired 1/28/2009 with the featured community being New Orleans, Louisiana.  Featured restaurants were Mother’s Restaurant and Deanie’s Seafood.  The Man Versus Food Challenge was at The Acme Oyster House where Adam attempts to eat 15 dozen raw oysters.

Man v Food Episode 11 – First aired 2/4/2009 with the featured community being Portland, Oregon.  Featured restaurants were Stepping Stone Cafe and Voodoo Doughnut.  The Man Versus Food Challenge was at Salvador Molly’s where Adam takes on their Great Balls of Fire Challenge which consists of 5 Blazing hot habanero fritters.

Man v Food Episode 12 – First aired 2/11/2009 with the featured community being Seattle, Washington.  Featured restaurants were The Red Mill and The Crab Pot.  He also visits the Pike Place Sea Market.  The Man Versus Food Challenge was at Beth’s Cafe where Adam takes on the Southwestern Exposure Challenge, a five pound omelet with 12 eggs, salsa, sour cream, cheese, and beef brisket accompanied by hash browns and toast.

Man v Food Episode 13 – First aired 2/18/2009 with the featured community being Los Angeles, California.  Featured restaurants were Philippe’s and El Tepeyac Cafe.  The Man Versus Food Challenge was at Orochon Ramen where Adam takes on the Special Number 2 Ramen dish, which he has to finish in a half hour.

Man v Food Episode 14 – First aired 2/25/2009 with the featured community being St. Louis, Missouri.  Featured restaurants were Iron Barley Restaurant and Pappy’s Smokehouse.  The Man Versus Food Challenge was at Crown Candy Kitchen where Adam attempts to drink five twenty-four ounce malt drinks in less then thirty minutes.

Man v Food Episode 15 – First aired 3/4/2009 with the featured community being San Jose, California.  Featured restaurants were Iguana’s and Henry’s Hi-Life.  The Man Versus Food Challenge was at Smoke Eaters where Adam attempts the Hellfire Challenge consisting of a dozen wings covered in a sauce so hot it isn’t even on their menu.

Man v Food Episode 16 – First aired 3/11/2009 with the featured community being Denver, Colorado.  Featured restaurants were Iguana’s and Henry’s Hi-Life.  The Man Versus Food Challenge was at Smoke Eaters where Adam attempts the Hellfire Challenge consisting of a dozen wings covered in a sauce so hot it isn’t even on their menu.

Man v Food Episode 17 – First aired 3/18/2009 with the featured community being North Carolina.  Featured restaurants were Time Out Chicken and The Pit.  The Man Versus Food Challenge was at Roast Grill where Adam competes in a hot dog challenge, where he has to eat seventeen hot dogs topped with over a pint of chili in an hour or less.

Man v Food Episode 18 – First aired 3/25/2009 with the featured community being Minneapolis, Minnesota.  Featured restaurants were Matt’s Bar, The 5.8 Club, Landmarc Grill and Brasa Premium Rotisserie.  The Man Versus Food Challenge was at Gasthof Zur Gemutlichkeit where Adam attempts the Bratwurst challenge where Adam tries to eat a 3 foot Bratwurst and two side dishes.

 

SEASON 2 – MAN v FOOD
