The source for most of the details on this challenge came from Bakersfieldlife.com where is is called the Brooklyn. Catalda’s website doesn’t mention a challenge at all, while their Facebook page references their Giant Pizza Challenge, with several photos of people taking the challenge and does give a brief description that is similar to that reported in Bakersfieldlife. Catalda’s is being contacted by us to clarify.
CHALLENGE:
Two people have to eat a pizza consisting of 5 pounds of dough, topped by three pounds of cheese and five meats totaling three pounds — pepperoni, sausage, hamburger, bacon and linguica (the toppings are per Bakesfieldlife in an article dated 12/27/2013, Cataldo’s website says 5 toppings of your choice, but that was dated 9/22/2012), in 1 hour or less.
